The Benefits of Working with Investors in People
Investors in People International, along with long-standing
client TNT Express, presented at the first Pan-European HR Forum,
which took place in May in Brussels.
Robert Macleod, Director, Investors in People International
spoke about "Business Improvement through People". Oliver
Roentgen, Director Learning Strategy, TNT Express explained how
working with the Investors in People framework has benefited his
organisation through attracting and retaining talent and shared
best practice of delivering excellent customer service in a
competitive industry. TNT Express became the first
organisation to be recognised worldwide as Investors in People in
2000.
Oliver stated that since achieving the Standard, TNT Express has
enjoyed greater productivity, higher staff morale and seen a
significant positive impact to the bottom line. TNT's ethos
is that our employees are central to the success of our
organisation and it is vital that they are skilled , flexible and
motivated. The Investors in People Standard has proved
to be one of the most important tools and driving forces of
organisational development. It is used to fuel our continuous
improvement process.
Over 120 delegates attended to debate the issues relating to
managing people across multiple countries, through a series of
presentations, workshops, panel discussions, meetings and
networking opportunities.
TNT Express serves more than 200 countries and employs 83,000
people. In 2010, TNT Express had revenues of €7.05
billion.
