Silver Lining Convergence Ltd - Awards Finalist 2022 Case Study

Silver Lining Convergence Ltd is a professional IT service provider based in Hampshire and offering business IT, telecommunications, data and security solutions. They have been nominated for the Community Employee of the Year award.

Why did you enter the Awards?

At Silver Lining, our core values are built on an understanding of working as a team to develop a fun, fair place to work, growing together as a company to create a unity that inspires innovation within our products, and being a supportive business within the community. We often remind ourselves that success is a blessing, and we continue to honour our responsibility of giving back to the community.

Our Event Coordinator, Charlotte is a fantastic representative of our company values, which is why we chose to put her forward for the Investors in People: Community Employee of the year award. We believe Charlotte should be recognised for the hard work and effort she puts into all the events Silver Lining hosts whilst building relationships in the local community, from charities and businesses to the public.

What was the key point of your entry?

Charlotte’s unique ability to bring people together is unmatched, creating partnerships and building unique inclusive, original, and engaging events whilst raising money and awareness for fantastic causes. Her dedication and passion for her projects are infectious and are reflected in her work.

As a company, Silver Lining is always looking to develop its community involvement; Charlotte fuels this process by researching and creating events and fundraising ideas, from the first creative idea, to planning and delivering the events and projects, and everything else in between. Since joining Silver Lining, the community engagement on social media has risen by 193% and the company has raised over £15,000 through various events.

What would it mean to you to win?

For Silver Lining winning the Investors in People: Community Employee award would help benefit the whole team. It would demonstrate to all our employees that they are valued and enhance our ability to boost company morale and develop company culture.

For Charlotte, winning would help her confidence within herself; as someone who has previously struggled with self-confidence and belief in her abilities, this would allow her to see the difference she makes within the community and the company. She is an incredibly driven, hardworking employee who consistently goes out of her way to help. She can make anyone smile and makes Silver Lining a better company in her own way.
