Why did you enter the Investors in People 2024 Awards?

The Association of Apprentices, entered the Investors in People Awards 2024 to showcase our commitment to creating a purpose-driven community that empowers and supports apprentices across the UK. Our nomination for “The Award for Best Purpose Driven People Community” reflects our dedication to:

1. Fostering a supportive network: We’ve built a thriving community where apprentices can connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

2. Driving positive change: Our initiatives aim to enhance the apprenticeship experience, professional development and advocate for parity of esteem for apprenticeships.

3. Promoting professional growth: We provide resources, peer support opportunities, and skill development programmes to help apprentices excel in their careers.

4. Recognising excellence: By participating in these awards, we hope to highlight the benefits of apprentices, employers, training providers and End Point Assessment Organisations joining our thriving apprentice-led community and inspire others in the apprenticeship sector to get involved.

5. Continuous improvement: Having won the award last year the application process allows us to reflect on our practices and see how we have grown year on year.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2024 Award?

This nomination serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, partners, Advisory Panel and members. We believe that by showcasing our achievements, we can inspire organisations to prioritise and support their apprentice communities throughout their apprenticeship through to completion and beyond through the Post-Apprenticeship Recognition Scheme.

Therefore contributing to the overall improvement of the apprentice experience, achievements and completion rates nationwide.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2024 Award?
