Our relationship with Investors in People stretches way back and we have always been very proud to be recognised for our commitment to our team. Travel companies were hit very hard by Covid, and to come back stronger than ever has been extremely important to us. Because of our success in turning our business around, we wanted to shout about our achievements, and the clear strategy we put in place to support our recovery. We used all the skills and techniques that we have learnt as an Investors in People company.
As a small business striving for a big impact, recognition of what we manage to achieve with limited resources is hugely important to us. We are proud of each other, and of everything we have achieved, and being shortlisted for awards gives a huge boost to morale. We are particularly excited about making The Investors in People Awards 2024 shortlist, because it takes us beyond our industry – it is one thing to be recognised within our peer group, and quite another to punch above our weight in the wider world. The members of our small team know that every single one of them has contributed to our success, so we are each being individually recognised for all our hard work, professionalism and expertise.

As a small company in an industry that is under-recognised, we feel that our voice is important. Not just to champion our own industry, but also to shout out for the extraordinary travel industry which amazingly contributes over 10% to UK GDP.
More specifically, the economic impact of the cruise industry is extraordinary, and alongside that the environmental stewardship led by the Cruise Lines International Association is bringing cutting edge solutions and technology to the decarbonisation of the cruise industry.
Engaging with other focused companies and sharing information is essential as we move forward in an uncertain world.
