The Investors in People Awards 2024 - Finalist Case Study

Why did you enter the Investors in People 2024 Awards?

We entered for two reasons. Firstly, to gain recognition for colleagues across the Law Society who engage with our IIP reviews, focus on the collective feedback, and take action together to make work a better place. Secondly, to embrace the opportunity to be benchmarked against our peers using IIP’s independent and validated framework.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far and are looking forward to celebrating those achievements at the awards.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2024 Award?

We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the Silver Employer of the Year Award. Being shortlisted by a recognised external body validates and helps celebrate the impact of the commitment, focus and energy invested by our leaders, their teams and our People & Organisational Development team. Everyone is delighted and even more energised to keep working hard together to improve further.

 

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2024 Award?

One of our four strategic corporate objectives is to be an employer of choice for people who want to make a difference. Winning an IIP award would help show we are well on the way to achieving our objective. It would highlight the way that we invest in our people to make work better, enabling them to make a difference for our members and society. And we would be so very, very proud!

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engage in awards and events like this one?

It’s invaluable to be part of a community where we all have a shared ambition to make work better and to create cultures where people can be their best. Engaging with peers across multiple organisations and hearing their stories and experiences is a great way to learn from each other and take further steps in making work better.
