Why did you enter the Investors in People 2025 Awards?

This will be the first time we have entered an Investors in People Awards. Entering the Investors in People Awards is not only an opportunity to benchmark ourselves against those who share the same values as we do but to take stock and reflect on what we have achieved so far. Taking the time to reflect provides that moment to see the growth and celebrate the positive impact. Which in turn, is motivating. It also provides clarity and an understanding of learnings so that we can keep making improvements.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2025 Award?

I was absolutely delighted, it’s a huge celebration for the whole team, we were thrilled. To be shortlisted is so reaffirming. It has been a real motivation and a morale boost. We do all that we do as a matter of course, business as usual, but to be recognised for that is such a huge incentive to keep pushing. Especially since the nomination comes after we introduced our coaching culture initiative.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2025 Award?

It would truly be an honour. We genuinely put our people front and centre of all that we do, we are a ‘People First’ business. We have worked diligently over the last several years to achieve Investors in People Gold accreditation having attained the IIP Wellbeing Gold accreditation in 2023. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved, and the award would not only validate our efforts, but we feel that it could be inspiring to others. There is a credibility with Investors in People, not only for our people but also for those that we work with. Empowering people to be the best that they can be, supporting peoples wellbeing, valuing each person’s contribution, is something that businesses should embrace. We talk about all that we do being a ‘force for good’. To win this award brings a responsibility with it. If, through winning the Investors in People award, we can influence others to adopt a similar approach then we’ve achieved something truly wonderful. Finally, to win this award highlights our people and gives us an opportunity to say thank you in the most fabulous way. As without their effort and support it doesn’t mean anything.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engage in awards and events like this one?

Being part of the Investors in People community and entering the Investors in People Awards is an opportunity to share the space with other, like-minded people, learn from one another, and to gain insight to different approaches. Most importantly though it’s about having those moments to come together and celebrate the vision and commitment that we all share to make work better. The sense of community and collaboration that comes along with Investors in People is fantastic.
