The Investors in People Awards 2025 - Finalist Case Study

Nominated for The Award for Young Person of the Year

Why did you enter the Investors in People 2025 Awards?

We’ve been proud members of Investors in People since 2006, and entering the 2025 Awards felt like a natural extension of our long-standing commitment to the framework. We wanted to be part of this celebration to recognise the progress we’ve made and to share in a community that values continuous improvement. Taking part in the awards also reinforces our focus on employee engagement and celebrating our people and the culture we’ve built together.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2025 Award?

We’re really excited to have been shortlisted, especially as this is our first time applying for an Investors in People Award. It’s a great achievement for us as an organisation and a proud moment for our team. Our shortlisted nominee, for the Young Person of the Year category, is absolutely thrilled to be recognised and it’s been wonderful to see the encouragement and support from everyone across the organisation.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2025 Award?

Winning an Investors in People 2025 Award would mean so much to our organisation and to our team. It would be an incredible moment of recognition for Alicia, who has worked tirelessly to grow and excel in her role as an apprentice HGV mechanic. Seeing her achievements celebrated on such a respected platform would mean the world to her and to all of us who have watched her determination, confidence and passion shine through.

A win would also highlight the values we stand for as a business, supporting young people, breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries and investing in the growth of our people. It would be a proud reminder of what can be achieved when dedication and opportunity come together.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engage in awards and events like this one?

Being part of the Investors in People community is extremely important to our organisation. It provides us with a framework to continually improve how we support, develop and engage our people. Engaging in awards and events like this not only allows us to celebrate the achievements of our team but also inspires us to strive for even higher standards. It reinforces a culture where dedication, growth and teamwork are recognised and valued and it gives our people a sense of pride in being part of a workplace that truly invests in them.
