We decided to enter the Investors in People Awards because, quite simply, people are at the heart of everything we do. We’ve always believed that a business is only as good as its people, and that belief shapes every decision we make. This was an opportunity to show how and why we do this and what makes Cuttsy and Cuttsy different.
Over the years, we’ve built a reputation in our industry for genuinely putting our team first. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of. In fact, one of the questions we’re most often asked in interviews is, “do you really treat people as well as you say you do?” and we love being able to answer with a confident “yes!” This award would validate this and show our culture isn’t just words but something we live out every day. In an industry where attracting great talent can be challenging, this would help us stand out even more and be reassurance of our genuine focus on people.
Being invited to take part felt like the perfect opportunity to celebrate our culture, to see how we measure up against other like-minded organisations, and to continue learning how we can be an even better place for our people to thrive.
Being shortlisted for an award means so much to us. It’s a genuine moment of pride that supports our belief in putting people first- not just as a value, but as the foundation of how we operate every day.
For our team, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see their collaboration, care and commitment recognised at this level. It’s lifted confidence across the business and strengthened the sense of unity and pride in what we’ve built together.
For our organisation, this recognition reinforces that Platinum isn’t a destination, it’s a continuous journey of growth and improvement. It’s inspired us to keep learning, listening and creating a workplace where our people feel supported, valued and empowered to thrive.
Winning an Investors in People Award would be the pinnacle of our 15-year journey so far, more meaningful to us than any award we’ve ever won for client work.
When we started this business, the advertising industry wasn’t known for putting people first. Long hours, burnout, and toxic cultures were all too common and we wanted to build something different- a place where people felt valued, supported and proud of the work they do. It was about doing the right thing for our team and our industry.
To be recognised by Investors in People would be powerful validation that we’ve stayed true to that vision. It would show that our people-first culture not only works, but stands up against the best in our industry. More than anything, it would be a proud moment for our team and proof that together, we’ve built something that genuinely changes what it means to work in this business.
Being part of the Investors in People community means a great deal to us. It brings together organisations that share a simple belief- that to be the best at what you do, you have to take great care of your people.
It’s an invaluable opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses, share experiences and ideas and learn from each other’s successes and challenges. We see it as more than an awards programme- it’s a space for genuine inspiration and growth. It also keeps us accountable to the high standards we set ourselves.
Engaging with this community encourages us to keep raising the bar, to keep asking how we can do better for our people, our clients, and our industry. Quite simply, it’s about being part of something bigger than ourselves: a network of organisations that believe people truly make the difference.
At the heart of our business has always been a simple belief: if we look after our people, everything else will follow. Being part of the Investors in People community and shortlisted for this award has reminded us just how powerful that belief can be.
Winning would be an incredible honour, but regardless of the outcome, we’re grateful to stand alongside organisations that share our values. The process has inspired us to keep learning, keep improving, and keep proving that when people come first, success naturally follows.
