The Investors in People Awards 2025 - Finalist Case Study

Nominated for The Award for Best Culture (up to 100 employees)

Why did you enter the Investors in People 2025 Awards?

We entered because culture isn’t a side project at Dent—it’s our operating system. Our mission is to develop entrepreneurs who stand out, scale up, make a positive impact, and become Key People of Influence, and the most authentic way to deliver on that promise is to be a company where every team member is encouraged to lead, grow, and make meaningful impact. Investors in People is the gold standard for recognizing organizations that genuinely invest in their people; entering allows us to benchmark our practices, celebrate our team, and learn where we can go further.

Dent has always believed that entrepreneurial thinking starts from within. The same principles we teach our clients—clarity of purpose, ownership of value, and consistent visibility—are embedded in how we operate as a team. Over the past few years we’ve navigated rapid transformation: expanding globally, launching new programs, and transitioning to a fully remote model. Through it all, our people have remained our strongest constant and we’ve worked intentionally to build a culture without compromising on trust, autonomy, and continuous development.

At Dent, great culture isn’t built by slogans but by systems. From onboarding to performance conversations, every touchpoint is designed to empower people to take ownership, act with purpose, and see their contribution as part of something bigger. Every rhythm of our culture is deliberate: weekly huddles and retrospectives, monthly learning sessions, and open quarterly updates that connect personal growth to organizational purpose.

Ultimately, entering to win Best Culture is both a celebration and a challenge. A celebration of the team who built a thriving, human-centred workplace, and a challenge to keep raising our own bar. The Investors in People framework inspires us to keep building a workplace where ambition and humanity thrive together, because at Dent, we believe the world’s best work happens when people feel seen, supported, and inspired.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2025 Award?

Being shortlisted has been a deeply affirming moment for the company. It validates that the culture we’ve built—based on trust, curiosity, and accountability—isn’t just felt internally but recognized externally as something distinctive. For a remote-first organization operating across numerous time zones, this acknowledgement shows that the systems, principles, and practices we’ve intentionally designed are truly working.

For our people, it’s a clear reminder that the way we work matters. Many joined Dent because they believed in our mission, and this recognition reinforces that they’re part of a company that genuinely lives by the values it teaches. Rather than being a moment of celebration alone, the shortlist has served as a point of reflection—an opportunity to take stock of what’s working, where we’ve grown, and where we can continue to improve together.

As one team member put it: “For me, it means so much to be part of this amazing team that has such a great community and spirit. It shows we’re adaptable, able to move at a fast pace, make changes where and when they’re needed, and that we’re all making a difference.” That sentiment reflects the pride many feel in belonging to a team that’s resilient, forward-thinking, and united by purpose.

It’s also meaningful acknowledgement of the quiet, consistent work that goes into building a high-performance culture. The effort that leaders invest in clarity, feedback, and personal development; the openness in sharing challenges; and the discipline of continuous improvement—all contribute to this outcome.

For Dent as an organization, it’s both a validation and motivation. Validation that our people strategy is creating real impact, and motivation to keep on raising the bar. We see this not as a finish line, but as a milestone on our ongoing journey to build a company where people can do their best work—sustainably, collaboratively, and with purpose.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2025 Award?

Winning would be an extraordinary honour. Not simply as a trophy, but as a moment of validation for the principles and discipline that define how we work. At Dent, we believe culture is built in the small, consistent choices people make every day; the way we communicate, give feedback, collaborate across continents, and challenge ourselves to grow. An Investors in People Award would affirm that these daily commitments are not only meaningful internally, but exemplary externally.

For our team, it would serve as proof that a people-first culture and high performance are not opposites—they’re interdependent. We’ve built an environment where candour and care coexist, where autonomy is paired with accountability, and where professional development is as valued as commercial success. Winning would highlight that you can build a world-class business while remaining human at every level.

It would also give our people a sense of shared achievement. many have grown with Dent through the rapid changes, and have continued to show resilience, adaptability, and optimism. Recognition at this level would be a collective milestone, a tangible reminder that their effort, integrity, and contribution truly matter.

For the wider organization, it would strengthen our credibility both as an employer of choice and as a trusted parter to our clients. Dent helps thousands of entrepreneurs build influence, lead teams, and grow responsibly—and this recognition would demonstrate that we hold ourselves to the same high standards we advocate for them. It gives us credibility not only as leaders in the industry, but as proof that our methods work in practice, not just in theory.

Ultimately, winning would mark a new standard to live up to. It would inspire us to keep evolving, keep learning, and keep proving that when our people thrive, so does the business.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engage in awards and events like this one?

Being part of the Investors in People community is both a privilege and a responsibility. As an organization that exists to create Key People of Influence, we know very well that credibility starts with how we lead ourselves. The Investors in People framework gives us trusted benchmark for excellence—one that challenges us to keep evolving rather than settling what already works.

For Dent, engagement with the Investors in People community isn’t just about recognition but about reflection and learning. We value being part of a network of organizations who are equally committed. The events, insights, and shared experiences allow us to test our own practices against the best, adopt new ideas, and contribute our learnings in return.

It also plays a critical role in how we connect with our clients. Being aligned with the Investors in People standard reinforces that we walk the talk. It demonstrates that our approach to leadership, wellbeing, and performance is grounded in evidence, not just aspiration, and that we’re continually raising our own standards.

Internally, this keeps us accountable. It encourages us to stay curious, celebrate progress, and seek out new perspectives. For a company that thrives on growth and reinvention, that challenge is invaluable.

Ultimately, being part of Investors in People reminds us that no organization, no matter how established, is ever done learning. It’s about shared ambition: creating workplaces where people feel trusted, inspired, and proud of the impact they make. That’s why we’re so proud to be part of this community.
