Investors in People represents the benchmark for EMG Solicitors to achieve. Having successfully progressed from the IIP silver accreditation through to gold accreditation EMG wanted to measure its progression against other organisations that have achieved similar growth. At EMG Solicitors, we believe that excellence in legal practice begins with excellence in people. Entering the Investors in People Awards 2025 is a natural extension of our commitment to creating a workplace where individuals thrive, grow, and feel genuinely valued.
Over the past year, we’ve deepened our investment in culture, leadership, and wellbeing—embedding purpose and values into every layer of our organisation. From pioneering flexible working practices to launching inclusive leadership programmes, we’ve focused on building a firm where people are empowered to bring their best selves to work.
We entered these awards not for recognition alone, but to benchmark ourselves against the very best. We wanted to challenge our thinking, celebrate our progress, and learn from others who share our belief that people are the heartbeat of sustainable success.
Being part of the Investors in People community has helped us sharpen our focus, listen more deeply, and act more boldly. The awards process has been a catalyst for reflection and growth, and we’re proud to stand alongside organisations that are redefining what great people practice looks like.
Ultimately, our submission is a celebration of our people—their resilience, creativity, and commitment to making a difference. It’s their story we’re telling, and it’s their future we’re building.
To be shortlisted as a finalist is a huge accolade for EMG Solicitors and is a reflection of all the hard work which has been put into growing a business whilst maintaining the culture which remains aligned to the EMG core values. Not only is being shortlisted a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our progression but it is a moment of immense pride for everyone at EMG Solicitors. It’s more than recognition—it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built together, where people feel empowered, supported, and inspired to do their best work.
For our team, it’s validation of the care and commitment we’ve invested in each other. From leadership development to wellbeing initiatives, we’ve worked hard to create an environment where individuals can grow, belong, and thrive. This shortlisting tells us we’re on the right path—and it energises us to go even further.
For our organisation, it’s a milestone in our journey to becoming a truly people-first law firm. We’ve embedded values into our daily practice, strengthened our communication, and fostered a culture of trust and accountability. These efforts have not only improved engagement and retention—they’ve elevated the way we serve our clients.
Because when our people feel valued, our clients feel it too. The impact of our culture is evident in the quality of our advice, the responsiveness of our service, and the strength of our relationships. Being shortlisted affirms that investing in our people is not just good for business—it’s essential to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
This recognition belongs to every person in our firm. It’s a celebration of who we are, how far we’ve come, and the future we’re building—together.
In one word – Everything! The positivity throughout the whole organisation which came from winning the Best Companies Silver (50 – 249) in 2022 was palpable. There was a huge buzz around the firm and people were visibly lifted by the achievement. Externally it helped promote EMG Solicitors as not just another law firm doing what law firms do but as something a bit different. A law firm which cares and looks after it’s colleagues and in turn their colleagues provide exceptional service to their clients. To win an Investors in People award 2025 for a second time would be beyond our wildest dreams it would be a great moment of pride and affirmation for our firm. It would recognise not just our commitment to people, but the tangible impact that commitment has had—on our culture, our clients, and our community.
As a law firm, our people are our greatest asset. They are the ones who build trust, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional service to our clients every day. By investing in their growth, wellbeing, and sense of purpose, we’ve created an environment where excellence is not just expected—it’s enabled.
This award would validate the journey we’ve been on: embedding values-led leadership, fostering inclusion, and creating meaningful career pathways. It would also highlight how our people strategy directly enhances client service—through greater collaboration, deeper engagement, and a shared drive to go beyond expectations.
To be recognised by Investors in People would send a powerful message to our team: that their contribution matters, and that their development is central to our success. It would also signal to our clients and peers that we are serious about building a sustainable, people-first legal practice—one that’s fit for the future.
Winning would be more than an award. It would be a celebration of our people, a milestone in our evolution, and a catalyst for even greater impact.
