Over the past 4 years, as a leadership team at Forbes Solicitors, we have been focussed on enhancing our culture utilising the Investors In People Framework. We successfully received our Silver accreditation in early 2024 and, as a people based business, it is important for us an organisation to celebrate our people initiatives that drive our success. The IIP Awards is an opportunity for us to share our story and recognise the hard work and commitment of our people.
Being shortlisted for three IIP Awards this year is incredible recognition of the journey Forbes Solicitors has been on and we are very grateful. The Investors In People Framework is central to our people practices and this independent recognition provides real and meaningful validation and feedback on the work of the People Team and the wider leadership team. Shortlisting has had an extremely positive impact on the People Team and the wider business. As the leader of our exceptional People Team, I am incredibly proud of the work that my team do and we are unbelievably excited celebrate this recognition at the event in November.
We were lucky enough to win UK Employer of the Year: Silver (250+ employees) at the IIP Awards 2024 and the ripple effect of the success was wonderful. It would mean the world win another award, it would be independent proof the we live and breathe our values and we have a clear strategy to create an environment that empowers our people to thrive and grow. Winning the awards will bring huge pride to the firm as a whole and demonstrate that we truly are #morethanlaw.
The Investors in People Framework is the backbone of our people practices. It plays a crucial part in how we lead, develop and support all our colleagues. Being part of the IIP community is important to us as it demonstrates to everyone that we understand that people are the key to success. To us, its not just about having a badge, but belonging to a network that shares the common goal of making work better for everyone. It is important for us to attend IIP conferences and the awards so we can celebrate and recognise the HR profession and the hard work of all our colleagues across industry.
