The Investors in People Awards 2025 - Finalist Case Study

Nominated for The Award for Best Culture (up to 100 employees)

Why did you enter the Investors in People 2025 Awards?

We entered the Investors in People Awards because they represent the highest standard of excellence in people management and organisational culture. After achieving Platinum accreditation in 2021, being recertified Platinum in May 2025 and previously winning UK Employer of the Year, we wanted to demonstrate that our commitment to people is not a one-time achievement but a continuous journey.

The feedback we received from our recent Platinum audit encouraged us to enter the awards. Our auditor commented “The culture at Rejuvo is honest, human, and built on trust. Add to that real-time communication, comprehensive guidance and support, structured check-ins, and a rhythm of recognition, and you’ve got something powerful — and rare.”

At Rejuvo JPCS, our guiding principle is Amazing Experience, Amazing People, and this ethos drives every decision we make. Our goal is simple, to be the best employer in our industry.

We attract, nuture, and retain our people. We champion every employees’ development, progression aligned with our business objectives and enable personal dreams come true. Our Rejuvo Way and Magic Grit is inclusive, over 80% of employees have progressed within the company. When our people succeed, so does our business.

Entering the awards allows us to benchmark ourselves against the best, celebrate the progress we’ve made, and share our story with a wider audience.

We’ve introduced initiatives that go beyond compliance. From mental health support programmes to leadership development and community engagement, our approach is holistic and embraces wellness. These awards give us the opportunity to showcase how we have created sustainable success: higher engagement scores, improved retention, and a culture where people feel valued, listened to and inspired.

Ultimately, entering the awards is about celebration and aspiration. It challenges us to keep raising the bar and ensures that our culture remains at the heart of our growth strategy.

What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2025 Award?

Being shortlisted for the Best Culture Award is a moment of immense pride and validation for everyone at Rejuvo JPCS.

Our goal is simple, to be the best employer in our industry. We put people at the heart of every decision, supporting, developing, and empowering them. When our people succeed, so does our business. Our Rejuvo Way and Magic Grit shape everything we do, from inductions to progression.

Our strategy is to build a culture that attracts amazing people, where every operative feels safe, cared for, secure, and proud to stay with us. In a highways market dominated by large corporations, our family-run SME chose to compete through culture. To deliver the best service, we need the best people, attracted, nurtured and retained.

For our Directors, it confirms that our long-term strategy is delivering excellence and sustainable success. For our employees, it’s a morale boost and a clear signal that their voices matter. Every initiative we’ve introduced, from career development programmes to wellbeing support, has been shaped through employee feedback and collaboration. Seeing these efforts recognised at a national level reinforces that we are listening and acting.

For the organisation, this recognition strengthens our reputation as an employer of choice. It enhances our ability to attract and retain the best people and reassures clients and partners that they are working with a company that values excellence and innovation – demonstrated through our sustained high performance. It also energises us internally—being shortlisted motivates us to keep innovating and ensures that our culture remains a competitive advantage.

This achievement isn’t just about recognition; it’s about reinforcing our shared purpose. It reminds us that culture is a collective effort, and every individual plays a role in making Rejuvo JPCS a great place to work.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2025 Award?

Winning an Investors in People Award would be amazing recognition for Rejuvo JPCS. It would affirm that our commitment to our vibrant, people-first approach is not only genuine, but industry-leading.

Our unique and vibrant culture – which we call our Magic Grit – demonstrates a high performing organisation; a culture where practices and behaviours are evident in “the way we do things round here”; always looping back to our vision and values and looking for ways to make work better.

Being recognised for best culture would be amazing.

In our 2025 re-assessment, 100% of our employees agreed they live our values every day. For our team, it would be a celebration of their contribution and a powerful motivator to continue embracing our culture. Our employees drive our creativity and innovations, continuously developing our capabilities to deliver our objectives. Our multiple layers of impact protection recognised by our auditor, reinforces our customer-centric culture and results in our people feeling proud, supported, and inspired to be amazing. For our clients and partners, it will reaffirm that they are working with an organisation that values their employees, collaboration, and sustainability.

For the organisation as a whole, winning would strengthen our strategy, and open doors to new opportunities. It would also inspire us to set even higher standards—because success isn’t a destination, it’s a platform for future growth. We believe that recognition at this level would amplify our voice in the industry, allowing us to share best practices and influence positive change beyond our own business.

Most importantly, winning would validate our belief that when you invest in people, you invest in performance, resilience, and long-term success.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engage in awards and events like this one?

Being part of the Investors in People community is vital for Rejuvo JPCS. It connects us with like-minded organisations committed to improving work and sharing best practices. Engaging in awards and events provides benchmarking opportunities, sparks innovation, and fosters collaboration. It’s a chance to learn from others, celebrate collective achievements, and contribute to shaping the future.

For our people, it demonstrates that we’re not isolated in our ambitions—we’re part of a global movement striving for excellence. This engagement keeps us accountable, inspired, and aligned with evolving standards of leadership and employee experience. It also gives us a platform to showcase our achievements and innovations, learn from industry leaders, and bring fresh ideas back into our organisation.

Ultimately, being part of this community reinforces our belief that culture is not static—it’s dynamic and requires continuous investment. Supporting this, external assessors this year have fed back to us that the synergy of our integrated management system and people plan provides a perfect case study for aspiring businesses considering joining the Investors in People community, especially SMEs. Awards and events like these help us stay ahead, share our journey, benchmark ourselves, challenge ourselves, and ensure that our people remain at the heart of everything we do.
