We entered these awards because we are proud of the culture that we have built—one of leadership, learning and rewards which is values led and where people are genuinely at the heart of everything we do. As a mental health care provider for the past 16 years, supporting adults to live more independently in the community has required high standards of care delivery which is dependent on the culture, commitment and wellbeing of our workforce. We have therefore taken deliberate steps to support wellbeing and embed a culture of leadership and learning which has resulted in measurable improvements in employee engagement, retention and performance.
Another reason for entering these awards is because The Investors in People framework has enabled us to embed practices that go beyond policy and benchmark ourselves against the best and continue learning, reinforcing our belief that when we invest in our people, they invest in our mission.
Entering the awards strengthens and communicates where we stand as an organisation, raises our credibility with our stakeholders, clients and partners and showcases the broader impact of our work in health and social care. At a system level, Curado has collaborated with various NHS Trusts, local authorities and the police to ensure the flow of patients from acute and rehabilitation beds to the community. Patient flow in mental health is a very important challenge as most NHS Trusts struggle to manage demand within ever tightening resources. Curado has therefore provided the expertise to translate the care needs of patients into robust and effective care plans to support recovery, self-reliance and improved physical and mental well-being.
Curado has invested in engaging over 500 young people by offering internships and work placements to inspire the next generation of social care professionals. In short, we have entered these awards to celebrate our people, share our story, highlight our impact, strengthen our credibility as a values
Being shortlisted for an Investors in People 2025 Award is both an honour and a validation of the hard work that we have invested over the last 16 years. It is a powerful recognition of the commitment, values and culture we’ve built as a team and shows that:-
In essence, being shortlisted is more than just an accolade – it is a collective achievement that celebrates our people, strengthens our reputation and motivates us to continue striving for excellence thus making Curado a great place to work.
Winning an Investors in People 2025 Award would be a profound milestone for Curado. It would affirm our belief that people are at the heart of everything we do – our employees, our clients and the wider communities that we serve.
It would also mean that:
In short, winning an Investors in People 2025 Award would be a proud moment that reaffirms our belief that great organisations are built through great people — and we’re on the path to reach even greater heights.
Being part of the Investors in People community and engaging in awards and events such as this one is very important to Curado. First and foremost, as a learning organisation, we thrive on the opportunity to exchange knowledge, share best practice, and learn from other organisations that are equally committed to putting people first.
The Investors in People community provides us with a platform to benchmark ourselves against leading organisations across different sectors. This allows us to reflect critically on our own practices, identify areas for growth, and adopt innovative approaches that have been tried and tested elsewhere. In a sector as complex and demanding as health ad social care, access to this shared learning is invaluable.
Participating in awards and events also helps us to showcase where we stand as an organisation and to raise the credibility of our work. Recognition through Investors in People strengthens the confidence of our employees, stakeholders and external partners in the standards we uphold.
Equally, being part of this network allows us to give back. By sharing our own experiences – whether that is in building inclusive leadership, engaging young people in the care sector, or supporting staff to develop meaningful careers – we can contribute to the growth and resilience of other organisations.
