Ahead of our Make Work Better conference in September, we’ve spoken to Gethin Nadin, the award-winning psychologist and author, about what greater use of technology means for employee wellbeing and, indeed, what it means for the future of our jobs themselves.

Our Make Work Better conference in September has so many sessions focused on what the workplace of the future will look like, including a dedicated session looking at the role of the people whose job it will be to help employers and employees navigate their way through these unchartered waters: HR. What does the future hold for this sector? And how can we make sure we’re ready for what’s coming?

Last year, Investors in People teamed up with the University of Exeter and Channel 4 to get some hard data on how much of a problem the Sunday Night Blues is for the UK workforce. The preliminary research was published earlier this year, and just recently Exeter University’s Exeter Expertise podcast Investors in People CEO, Paul Devoy, Professor Ilke Inceoglu, of the University of Exeter Business School , and Channel 4’s People Director, Kirstin Furber to find out more on the subject.

Our “Connecting Professionals from the World of Apprenticeships” event saw over hundred people from a variety of industries come together to discuss and celebrate their efforts to #MakeWorkBetter for their apprentices.
