Why did you enter the Investors in People 2023 Awards?

As a business we are going through an exciting period of growth, but we have always stayed true to what has made us successful in the first place: our strong culture and focus on our people.  Our colleagues tell us that we are doing a great job, but we wanted to take a sense-check of how we measured up against other organisations within the Investors in People community.

What has it meant to you, your team and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2023 Award?

The whole team have been delighted to receive this recognition.  Following our recent accreditation, we have been working incredibly hard on the recommendations we received, and it is great to see this commitment being recognised.  EMS Healthcare has always been a well-kept secret as an employer, so it is great for us to shout about our successes.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2023 Award?

As an organisation, we have always been humbling about our achievements, even whilst delivering incredible outcomes for our clients, partners, patients, and the wider healthcare sector.  This has also been the case with the engagement focus on our organisation – but to win this award would be the ultimate recognition of the huge effort that our team puts in on a daily basis, to support all our different groups of colleagues.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engaged in awards and events like this one?

EMS Healthcare is an organisation which prides itself on making a difference to people’s lives across the UK.  It is vitally important for us to be part of the Investors in People community, so we can keep ourselves at the forefront of best practice and continue to push and improve life for all our colleagues, who are at the heart of what we do.
