We exist to make work better – for everyone.

We believe every person deserves to feel valued, supported, and inspired at work. When people grow, organisations grow. When people feel trusted, they give their best. And when people thrive, performance follows.

Why we do this

For over 35 years, Investors in People has championed the idea that great cultures and high performing workplaces are built with intention, care, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We’ve supported nearly 60,000 organisations across the world, reaching 12 million people, and helping leaders unlock potential, strengthen connection, and build workplaces where people feel proud to belong.

Making work better is a journey rather than a project. One that changes how people feel, how teams work, and how organisations succeed.

And we’re here to help you begin, continue, or accelerate that journey.

What we’re here for

Most organisations care about their people. They want workplaces where individuals feel supported, trusted and able to thrive. What’s often missing is the structure to turn that intention into something visible and sustained.

43% of organisations have no formal people management strategy, which makes progress hard to plan for and harder to build on.

We’re here to change that. We help organisations turn intention into action, with the clarity and structure to keep improving.

What Investors in People do

We help organisations build workplaces where people are led well, supported properly and given room to grow.

Through independent accreditation, expert advisory support and original research, we show leaders what is working, what could be better, and how to get there. Organisations are assessed against a globally recognised standard and benchmarked against thousands of others, so decisions about people are grounded in evidence rather than instinct.

What that builds over time is a stronger culture, more confident leaders and people who feel trusted to do their best work.

Colleagues working together

Our expert practitioners bring Investors in People to life

With real world leadership and people expertise, Investors in People practitioners know what strong culture looks like, what holds it back, and what helps it grow. Their role is to highlight strengths, uncover opportunities and help organisations move forward with purpose.

They are partners, not auditors. The relationship is a working one, built on honest conversation and shared insight, and it carries on long after the assessment itself. Organisations tell us the value sits as much in what they learn along the way as in the accreditation.

Four levels, one direction

Accreditation is awarded at four levels: Standard, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Standard recognises that the foundations are in place and working. Silver, Gold and Platinum reflect how deeply good practice is embedded, and delivering results, moving from policy on paper to something people feel every day, everywhere in the organisation.

The level you achieve is determined by your assessment, so a first assessment can result in any of the four. From there, each cycle builds on the last, so accreditation becomes a rhythm of improvement rather than a one-off exercise.

A worldwide community

Accredited organisations join a community of 1.1 million employees around the world, all working towards the same thing. Making work better.
