Why did you enter the Investors in People 2024 Awards?

At EPIC Global Solutions, we entered The Investors in People 2024 Awards because we believe in the power of continuous improvement, especially for our people. Since our partnership with Investors in People began, it’s been about far more than achieving recognition or a title—it’s been about embedding meaningful transformation into every level of our organisation.

We have a close-knit team, with half the team having experience of Gambling-related harm, which pushes us to ensure we’re making the most of every opportunity to evolve. We wanted an accreditation that would challenge us, one that required us to dig deep, reflect on our strengths, and identify areas for growth. The IIP framework has been instrumental in helping us do just that—benchmarking our practices, listening to our people, and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.

The feedback and guidance we’ve received have empowered us to be more intentional in our people practices, ensuring that every employee feels valued, heard, and part of something bigger. We’ve seen firsthand how these changes have positively impacted our team dynamics, internal communication, and overall performance.

Being nominated for the Platinum Award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. It reaffirms that we’re on the right path and motivates us to continue striving for excellence, both for our employees and as an organisation. What has it meant to you, your team, and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2024 Award?

Being shortlisted for an Investors in People 2024 Award has been an incredible milestone for EPIC Global Solutions. It’s more than just external recognition—it validates the work we’re doing to create a culture that truly reflects our values and our mission of “Learning from lived experience to take the problem out of gambling and potentially save lives.”

For our team, it’s a source of immense pride. It shows that the efforts we’ve made to prioritise our people practices are not only making a difference internally but are also being acknowledged by industry leaders. This recognition ensures that we are not just talking about our values but actively living them every day. It reinforces our commitment to fostering a workplace where our staff feel empowered, supported, and connected to the meaningful work we do.
