At EPIC Global Solutions, we entered The Investors in People 2024 Awards because we believe in the power of continuous improvement, especially for our people. Since our partnership with Investors in People began, it’s been about far more than achieving recognition or a title—it’s been about embedding meaningful transformation into every level of our organisation.
We have a close-knit team, with half the team having experience of Gambling-related harm, which pushes us to ensure we’re making the most of every opportunity to evolve. We wanted an accreditation that would challenge us, one that required us to dig deep, reflect on our strengths, and identify areas for growth. The IIP framework has been instrumental in helping us do just that—benchmarking our practices, listening to our people, and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
The feedback and guidance we’ve received have empowered us to be more intentional in our people practices, ensuring that every employee feels valued, heard, and part of something bigger. We’ve seen firsthand how these changes have positively impacted our team dynamics, internal communication, and overall performance.
Being nominated for the Platinum Award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. It reaffirms that we’re on the right path and motivates us to continue striving for excellence, both for our employees and as an organisation. We’re honoured to be in the running and look forward to sharing our story, learning from others, and continuing our journey of transformation through the IIP Awards.
Being shortlisted for an Investors in People 2024 Award has been an incredible milestone for EPIC Global Solutions. It’s more than just external recognition—it validates the work we’re doing to create a culture that truly reflects our values and our mission of “Learning from lived experience to take the problem out of gambling and potentially save lives.”
For our team, it’s a source of immense pride. It shows that the efforts we’ve made to prioritise our people practices are not only making a difference internally but are also being acknowledged by industry leaders. This recognition ensures that we are not just talking about our values but actively living them every day. It reinforces our commitment to fostering a workplace where our staff feel empowered, supported, and connected to the meaningful work we do.
On an organisational level, this nomination strengthens our belief in the importance of listening to our people, learning from their experiences, and continuously improving how we operate. It’s a testament to the fact that when we invest in our people, we are better equipped to deliver on our mission—ultimately, contributing to real-world change in the fight against gambling harm.
Winning an Investors in People 2024 Award would be a tremendous honour for EPIC Global Solutions. It would symbolise the culmination of our hard work, commitment, and dedication to creating a people-first culture. More than just a badge of excellence, it would reaffirm that we are living our values and staying true to our mission of “Learning from lived experience to take the problem out of gambling and potentially save lives.”
For our organisation, this recognition would represent the impact of our collective efforts to prioritise the wellbeing, growth, and empowerment of our team. It would validate that the practices we’ve put in place are not only making a difference internally but are also seen as exemplary by external standards. Winning this award would motivate us to continue raising the bar, ensuring we remain a supportive and purpose-driven workplace.
On a larger scale, it would strengthen our credibility as leaders in both our industry and in people practices. It would serve as a reminder that when we invest in our team, we become more effective in carrying out our life-saving mission, and inspire others to join us in creating lasting change.
Being part of the Investors in People community is incredibly important to EPIC Global Solutions. It connects us with like-minded organisations that share our commitment to continuous improvement, people-first practices, and excellence in leadership. Engaging in prestigious awards and events like this allows us to benchmark our progress, gain valuable insights from other organisations, and stay at the forefront of best practices.
For us, the IIP community isn’t just a network—it’s a source of inspiration and accountability. It challenges us to uphold the high standards we’ve set and ensure we stay aligned with our mission and values. By actively participating, we have the chance to not only celebrate our achievements but also learn from others, adapt new ideas, and strengthen our culture.
These events provide opportunities to reflect on our progress, showcase our work, and foster meaningful relationships with industry peers. Engaging with the IIP community ensures we remain focused on our long-term vision of creating a positive, impactful workplace where our employees thrive and contribute to the mission.
