Why did you enter the Awards?
We wanted to recognise our amazing people team for making SysGroup a better place to work; celebrate the continuous improvements we have made through owning effective people management initiatives; and acknowledge the impact to our workplace that is visible we can see/hear how we delight our customers (team members).
We are also keen to be involved in the Investors in People awards as a credible acknowledgement of the value of the HR profession, whereas a lot of awards are business and/or operations focused.
Finally, we want our current and future talent to see the effort SysGroup put into to our employee wellbeing and understand how committed we are to our people and culture.
What was the key point of your entry?
To demonstrate the passion, determination and importance of how HR profession and IIP go hand-in-hand, by recognising the efforts of the P&C team, valuing our employees; and the hard work of P&C teams all around the UK that can, at times, go unrecognised in favour of more prestigious or well-known awards.
If ever there was a time when P&C teams shone brightly, was during the COVID pandemic – the glue that kept everyone together, at a time when we couldn’t be.
What would it mean to you to win?
We would be delighted to be recognised for the people team’s ongoing commitment to making SysGroup a better place to work. It would also be an amazing recognition as a company that care for their people.
We hope winning the award would motivate the team to continue within the HR profession and drive further changes. SysGroup is becoming a great place to work – and we, the people team, have contributed to this.
