Why did you enter the Investors in People 2023 Awards?

It is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to making Apprenticeship Programmes we offer accessible to all by promoting social mobility, Diversity and Inclusion. Our aim is not to just celebrate these achievements but to continue to strive in the investment of our people and encourage their development and growth to ensure we get them to where they want to be.

What has it meant to you, your team and your organisation to be shortlisted for an Investors in People 2023 Award?

We’re so excited to be shortlisted. It’s great that our commitment to developing our existing and future workforce has been recognised and that our collaborative efforts to create a positive and developmental environment are being acknowledged on a larger scale, reinforcing our People-centric approach. It has given us a massive amount of pride and motivation, showing that our dedication and hard work is being valued and is paying off, encouraging us to keep striving for excellence.

What would it mean to your organisation to win an Investors in People 2023 Award?

It would be a huge achievement. It would affirm that our strategy is not only effective but exemplary, leading with People in mind and at the heart of what we do.

A win would help us to attract and retain more top talent, enhancing our reputation as an employer of choice, keeping our existing workforce engaged and attracting external talent who look for organisations that prioritise career growth and development.

It would boost the morale of our current workforce, demonstrating that their collaborative efforts and contributions are valued on a larger scale, not just within our company, increasing motivation and engagement.

The aviation industry can often be very competitive, so winning this award would give us a competitive advantage in the market, opening new business opportunities and collaborations to keep making the workplace great for our current and future employees.

It would reinforce our company culture of People-centricity, highlighting further that we care about individuals’ development and growth and that we want to promote a positive and enriching environment for all, No matter if you are an existing employee or a new one, we value your career and your aspirations.

Winning would be a true testament to our dedication to creating an exceptional workplace and a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence.

How important is it for your organisation to be a part of the Investors in People community and engaged in awards and events like this one?

It holds great importance for our organisation as it gives us an opportunity to benchmark ourselves against other leading organisations, allowing us to self-reflect and identify areas of improvement, that could take us from good to excellent and beyond.

It aids networking with like-minded organisations that share the same enthusiasm for nurturing existing and future talent, and this exchange of knowledge will help us to identify new innovative ideas and challenge our existing ones to be better.
